Why do I need to hire an accountant to help with Quickbooks? It's supposed to be simple.

Quickbooks Online is designed to make your bookkeeping simple but there are certain key concepts that may not be intuitive. We have found that understanding the basics of accounting and what is going on behind the scenes in QuickBooks really helps our clients understand the software.

What is a Quickbooks ProAdvisor?

Quickbooks encourages bookkeepers and accountants to become experts on their software. To become an Advanced Certified ProAdvisor, we pass a certification exam and get recertified each year to keep up on the latest advances in Quickbooks Online.

Which version of Quickbooks do you work with?

We are certified in Quickbooks Online.

There are so many apps out there, how do I know what to choose?

F + A will help you navigate and research the software that is best for you and your organization. Sometimes no software might be the best solution.

What is the difference between a certified public accountant (CPA) and an accountant?

A CPA has passed a rigorous examination to show their professional competency. CPAs must also meet strict continuing education requirements, undergo peer review, and adhere to a stringent set of ethical standards. Our team includes certified CPAs.

Does F + A prepare individual and business tax returns?

After our first few years in business, we decided to stop preparing business and individual tax returns, and now suggest that our clients work with tax professionals who specialize in tax preparation and planning. We can refer you to one of the many professionals in our network depending on your tax needs.  We do prepare the 990 information return for nonprofits.
